Airfield defence- Labok
The other British airfield located at Labok in Machang. The troops defending these was the Mysore Infantry Indian State Force.
Airfield defence- Kota Bharu airfield




The British had three airfields for the air force in Kelantan, at Kota Bharu Labok and Gong Kedak. To defend these vital airfields the British built a number of pillboxes at the airfields to defend against enemy parachutists. The Kota Bharu airfield located about 9km north-east of the town was defended by the 1st Hyderabad Infantry, Indian State Force commanded by Lt-Col Hendricks.
